Exam preparation; Strategies for reducing exam anxiety

How to overcome exam anxiety?

It's completely normal to have a few anxieties before or during an exam, some students find anxiety test anxiety debilitating. Exam anxiety has powered to detail all your hard work.
🔴 *Symptoms of anxiety* 
🔹 Inability to concentrate
🔹 Want to run away
🔹 Fast heartbeat
🔹 Headache
🔹 Vibration of group of muscle
🔴 *Before exam* 
If you are well-prepared for exam, usually exam anxiety is low

🔴 *Fear of failure* 
Fear is normal human emotions which every student will have during an important academic year.

 *In short...* Fear is nothing more than a state of mind, so face everything and rise.
🔴 *During exam* 
If you are feeling too panicked, stop writing papers and try one of the methods.
❇️ Divert your mind 
      ----------------------------
🔹 Feeling panic while solving question, divert mind to easy question.
🔹 If it is a theory based exam, just keep writing and it will make you feel better.
 *In short...* You either control your mind or it controls you.
❇️ Try to describe anxiety
      --------------------------------------------
🔹 Stop writing paper
🔹 Focus your attention on anxiety and try to focus the body part which is affected most (That part will be vibrating)
🔹 Just concentrate on that part for 1 minute and observe the sensation like muscle movement of face.
🔹 If you can feel physical sensation, it usually disappears in 1 to 2 minutes
 *In short...* The key to success is to focus on your anxiety so you can control it and recharge yourself for your mission
❇️ Deep breathing
      --------------------------
🔹 Stop writing the paper
🔹 Close your eyes and focus on deep breathing
🔹 Focus on the air going in & out of the lung
🔹 Do it for 1 to 3 minutes
 *In short...* Take a deep breath, it calms the mind.
❇️ Positive self talk
      ----------------------------
🔹 Stop writing paper
🔹 Identify negative self talk immediately. Is it becoming negative? How can I turn around?
🔹 Say STOP
As you realize negative self talk, shout on yourself by saying Stop. Saying in a loud voice is a powerful way to stop your thought process. 
🔹 Addressing oneself in a third person. Ask yourself questions about how you will talk to your friend if your friend is talking negatively.
🔹 Change your position
Talk to yourself as you are trying to explain to your friend to look forward and start writing exams.
🔹 Most important
Telling yourself what to do is better than just telling I can do it. Eg: I will solve easy question now
 *In* *short* ... Self talk is the most powerful form of communication because it empowers you or defeats you.
